The Vision

Roy and Julie Norton are avid sport fishers who were as captivated by the charming personality of Cedar Key as they were by the fish-filled waters. Their vision for Cedar Key Village began with a desire to restore several of Cedar Key's historic buildings (circa 1875-1910) to their original beauty and popularity. The historic renovation continues to be inspired by three key goals:

  • The preservation of Cedar Key's historic main street.
  • The preservation of the Bayou.
  • The maintaining of the character of Cedar Key.

Roy and Julie also recognized the need for more luxurious accommodations, and as Julie puts it “something to do when you're not fishing.” The Village became a labor of love for the Nortons, who are determined to maintain the charm of the island - celebrating its history and working waterfront as well as the pristine environment – while creating a new level of luxury, service and entertainment.
